About Theo Chappell
Theo(Teo/Tao) Chappell grew up dancing with music in his soul as both parents were metaphysical artists/pianists, his musical presence came to expression for him in the Native American Love Flute. Since 1992 Theo has been passionately playing his flutes, which he made with Stephen DeRuby, who he had apprenticeship with this recording artist/musician and flute maker, (1992-‘95) which initiated him into a life of musical improvisation touching the hearts and souls of his listeners.
He has recorded on a number of collaborative albums including "One Voice Many Nations" by Thayne Hake as well as performed in weddings and in mystical poetry performances with Kaveen.
Mikaya is a sound healer, conscious dance deejay, activist, and curator of sacred spaces. He's recently moved from Maui where he did weekly sound baths at the Lumeria Maui Retreat Center. Mikaya studied sound healing, yoga and mediation in Rishikesh and Dharamsala, India. He's excited to offer his gifts to the Asheville community. To learn more visit www.mikaya.live.
